Sioux City - On Sunday, July 30, 2023, at approximately 4:17 am, the Sioux City Police Department responded to a 911 call reporting gunshots fired at 2013 Metropolitan Street. Officers found two adult males with gunshot wounds at the scene.

The first victim was located in the residence's backyard and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The second victim, found in front of the residence, was pronounced dead at a local hospital. The name of the deceased is being withheld until the next of kin can be notified.

According to investigators, the shooting followed a disturbance at the residence and involved an exchange of gunfire between the parties involved. The incident is believed to be isolated, and there is no immediate threat to the public.
