In the early hours of June 23, 2024, at approximately 1:38 AM, the Sioux City Police Department responded to reports of a shooting at The Key Club, located at 1008 4th Street on Historic Fourth Street.
Upon arrival, officers found two victims with gunshot wounds in the outdoor section of The Key Club. Emergency medical services were promptly dispatched, and the injured individuals were transported to local hospitals for treatment.
Both victims sustained critical injuries. Later in the morning, a third victim arrived at a hospital with a non-life-threatening injury related to the shooting.
Preliminary information suggests that a single suspect fled the scene after the shooting. Detectives are actively investigating the incident, which appears to be a targeted event. At this time, it is not believed that there is any danger to the public.
