Police pursuit of a stolen 2014 Dodge Charger ended in a crash on Sunday, November 26, 2023. The incident began around 7:51 PM when Sioux City Police Department officers tried to stop the vehicle, reported stolen earlier that day. The driver, identified as 24-year-old Gunnar Lee Kratz of Sioux City, refused to halt and led the police on a chase through the city's west and north sides.

The pursuit ended when Kratz lost control of the Charger, crashing in the 1700 block of Floyd Blvd. He sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The incident remains under investigation by local authorities.
