Just before 10:00 pm Thursday Plymouth County Deputies, Iowa State Patrol and Akron Fire and Ambulance responded to K18 and C60 for reports of a truck in a creek bed.
The truck a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado is believed to have lost control and slid off the roadway sideways down a steep embankment and into a creek bed. A single occupant was found deceased. Iowa State Patrol is investigating the crash which remains under investigation.
