A release from Sioux City Police says a train was stopped in downtown Sioux City along 2nd Street Monday evening July 23rd.
The release says they were called to the 200 Block of Pierce street after a man was hit by a train that started moving as he was crawling underneath it.
Evidence was found on the scene that indicated a person had been run over by the train. Police remained on the scene and most of the intersectioins blocked until after 3:00 am. The incident remains under investigation.
