About 10 minutes to 4:00 pm on Wednesday, November 29th Iowa State Patrol attempted a traffic stop on an Oklahoma plated vehicle that had plates that did not match the car, a 1980 Alfa Romeo stolen out of Omaha Nebraska.
The driver fled from the trooper before crashing into a tree on the 4300 block of Vine Avenue. The driver and passenger fled on foot from the vehicle. The passenger was taken into custody. Iowa State Patrol, Woodbury County Sheriff, and Sioux City Police searched the area and tracked with police K9 for about 2 hours, but were unable to locate the suspect.
The suspect was described as a white male, with tattoos on his face, about 5’10â€, 150lbs, he was wearing a dark colored jacked, blue sweatshirt and jeans.
