On Tuesday, November 21st between the hours of 2:00 pm and 10:00 pm Sioux City Police, Woodbury County Sheriff's Office and, Iowa State Patrol Conducted and inner-city traffic safety project in Sioux City.
The project is meant to enforce traffic laws in specific areas of concerns within the City. Citizens are encouraged to contact the police department with areas of concern. You can also attend a local network neighborhood coalition meeting and pass the info along to the officer in attendance.
The project on November 21st had 120 stops with 196 citations. Including 5 OWI-Drugs, OWI-Alcohol, 3 open containers, 4 drug paraphernalia, 2 warrant arrests and 19.7 grams of Marijuana.
