On May 27, 2024, between the early hours of 4:00 am and 6:00 am, the town of Sloan was disrupted by a series of burglaries. At least four businesses and one vehicle fell victim to these break-ins. The suspect, yet to be identified, used forceful methods to gain entry, either by throwing bricks through windows or prying doors open.

During one of the vehicle burglaries, a witness reportedly observed the suspect.

The Sheriff's Office is urging anyone with information or who may have witnessed anything suspicious to come forward. Residents are also encouraged to check their home surveillance cameras for any footage that might assist in the investigation.
