Just before 10:30 PM the Sioux City Police Department was dispatched to the 2300 block of W 19th St in Sioux City for a reported shooting.

Officers arriving on scene found an adult male suffering multiple gunshot wounds. Officers rendered aid to the male victim before he was transported to a local hospital. The suspect has been identified as 22 year old Corey Deonte Smith of Sioux City, IA. Officers consider Smith armed and dangerous.

The victims name has not been released at this time. As this is an ongoing investigated no further information will be released at this time.
