Police say they were responding to reports of a disturbance at Phoenix Apartments, 1003 Pierce Street in Sioux City just before 3:00 am Sunday, October 28th for reports of people fighting.

Police discovered a male unconscious on the floor suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was transported to the hospital where they died as a result of their injuries. Police say that two males were fighting on the 4th floor, Floor D and the victim had been stabbed with a knife.

Police arrested 38-year-old male Abdiqadar Abdinasir Sharif, charged with Murder in the 1st Degree and an outstanding Warrant. He's being held in the Woodbury County Jail.
