Police responded to the Kum&Go at 1401 Court at 12:18 am on Friday morning January 5th for reports of an armed robbery.

A release says the suspect was armed with a handgun and demanded cash. He fled on foot after taking an undisclosed amount of money. A Police K9 tracked the suspect to the 900 Block of 15th street. A search warrant was obtained for the residence where money and the handgun from the robbery were recovered.

Police arrested 28-year-old Mark Anthony Everett charged with Robbery in the 1st degree and Felon in Possession of a Firearm. He also has an outstanding warrant from Mississippi.
