Just before noon on Tuesday Sioux City Fire Rescue responded to a garage fire at 2041 South Palmetto.

According to Deputy Fire Marshal Captain Tom Standish crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire, however, the garage and two vehicles inside sustained major damage. They believe the cause of the fire to be electrical. The homeowner and neighbor were in the garage just before the fire broke out.
