Shots fired during disturbance

Witnesses say that during a birthday party where alcohol was being consumed, two people were kicked out of the party for fighting. A fight then broke out in the alley between the two. As the fighting escalated people including Mario tried to break it up as they felt it was going to cause serious harm to one man who was on the ground and not able to fight back. The aggressor then went after Mario who fearing for his life pulled out a weapon and fired it into the ground. The fighting stopped and people began to leave as police showed up.

Mario immediately identified to officers that he had a loaded weapon and raised his hands. His gun and permit to carry were confiscated and he was arrested and booked into the Woodbury County Jail.
