Sioux City Fire Rescue Responded to a house fire about 4:30PM Saturday. Crews were on scene for a couple hours but had the fire under control within the first 30 mins.

According to Assistant Fire Chief Robert Wilson, crews initially battled the fire from outdoors because of the heat. Crews took frequent breaks and were monitored for heat exhaustion. There were no reported injuries but as 6:00PM, there was still an unaccounted for house cat. The cause of the fire is being investigated as of right now the home is not habitable.
