According to a post on the Sioux City Police Facebook Page a recorded robo type call was received by the Sioux City Community School District Education Service Center at 8:22AM on Wednesday indicating that explosive devices had been placed at each school. Additional threats were made that schools would be attacked with rifles and the attack would take place in 30 minutes.

The Sioux City Community School District initiated their response plan along with the Sioux City Police Department. The lockdown was canceled at about 9:15AM
