Sioux City Police have recovered the body of an adult male from the Missouri River near Larsen Park Road this evening 8/8/25 at approximately 5:05 PM.

This concludes a search that began Tuesday, August 6th, after a 47-year-old man was reported missing by colleagues when he failed to appear for a scheduled flight. The man's submerged vehicle was located and recovered from the river Tuesday evening, but no body was found inside at that time.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. The body has been transported to the Iowa Medical Examiner's Office for formal identification and autopsy.
Preliminary investigations show no immediate evidence of trauma or foul play, but the investigation remains ongoing.
The Sioux City Police Department continues to investigate this incident. No additional information is being released at this time.
