Sioux City Police Chief Rex Mueller expressed his thanks to the officers, first responders, and citizens who came to the aide of the victims and his and the department's condolences to all families affected by the incident. During a 2:00 pm press conference Sergeant Ryan Bertrand said that the 17-year-old female victim and the suspect had a previous relationship and that the 18-year-old male victim and 17-year-old female victim were friends.
It's believed the 3 were in the vehicle when a fight broke out and the vehicle parked and the disturbance continued into the parking lot and street when it was called in by people in the area. Anyone with information is asked to contact Sioux City Police or Crime Stoppers.

Sioux City Police, Woodbury County Sheriff, and Sioux City Fire Rescue responded to South Cecilia and Jay Avenue in Sioux City’s Morningside neighborhood at 1:19 am on Sunday, January 28th for reports that two people had been stabbed.
The ambulance transported two teens a 17-year-old female and 18-year-old male to the hospital with critical stab wounds. Law enforcement began searching the area for the suspect. The victims were pronounced dead at the hospital.
About 2:00 am police responded to Gordon Drive HyVee for reports that a male with apparent injuries. That male was identified as 18-year-old Tran Walker. He was transported the hospital and treated for non-life-threatening knife wounds.

After treatment, he was interviewed and charged with two counts of First Degree Murder. He’s being held in the Woodbury County Jail without bond.
The female victim is not being identified at this time. The male victim is identified as Felipe Negron.
